Auto Dialer Does Not Work - (Voice Dialer Security Console - Model PS561)

I followed the instructions for programming a phone number into the Auto Dialer, but when I tested the system by opening up a door, the auto dialer did not dial the
phone number I entered.

Any help would be appreciated,

A couple basic questions:

1. How many digits in the phone number?

2. Do you have a DS10A installed on the door? If so, was the door sensor registered to the PS561?

3. Was the system armed? If so, did the alarm sound when you opened the door?

The more info you can provide about what you have and what you have done would help avoid assumptions and seemingly ridiculous questions.

I had an issue with my dialer not working and I finally figured it out .  There is approximately a 30 second delay before the first number dials and 30 seconds between phone numbers. 
Me being a novice, for testing purposes I had my landline phone as the first number.  You can't dial yourself from your own phone,  duh. 
Also, I never waited the minute it would have taken to get to the second number. 

Live and learn I guess.

Do you have your system set to delay mode before triggering the alarm? I know X10 has made changes to the PS561 since I purchased mine, but in normal mode mine dials out immediately.
