How would one offer X10 devices for sale?  I have read some posts with things for sale, but most forums frown upon selling offers and I don't want to be frowned upon.

I think you could sell X10 items (modules, transponders, etc) on E-Bay with little or no fuss.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

Nicely priced x10 goodies don't last long on eBay. We'll snatch em up!   :'
Long live X10! - Because I just like it is all.....

I think it would depend a great deal on what you have in mind to sell.

If it's a one time offering, like "email me if you're interested in buying my spare modules", that's probably okay.

If you have your own device to sell, like Jeff Volp does, for instance, that can be arranged too.

Mainly, if you're selling something that enhances X10's offerings and not directly competing with X10, it would most likely be okay.

If you're selling other stuff that is not home automation related, forget it.

What do you have in mind?

In the real world, the only constant is change.

When I'm online you can find me in the Home Automation Chat Room!

I got 15 old Radio Shack Plug-n-Power wall switches (and some wall outlets) off eBay, and they WON’T HAVE SOFT START.  Did I tell you I hate soft start?  Well, I have a couple of places I want to use these, and I don’t need the rest. I bought the lot because I wanted to get some and have a couple of backups.

Actually, I need even fewer now that I have made a toggle-switch-KR19A mod.  B:(

Since they are no longer available, don’t have soft start, and may be desirable, I thought I’d offer them first to my X10 brotherhood.

I hope the guy I outbid isn’t here.  Actually, if he were, he could still get most of the pieces.

Anyway, I paid way too much just to yield a few non-soft start switch modules, but like I said, they’re not around anymore.  I’m not looking to make a profit on these, I’d just rather them be in-service somewhere rather than stored away in my X10 parts cabinet.

You all do have an X10 parts cabinet too, right?
