This isn't my first experience with X-10 type systems.  I have been using the technology since the '80s to control various devices in and around the house.  Recently, I decided to upgrade from my previous CP290 and on November 6th purchased a CM-15A, USB cable and related software from X10.com.

I received the CM-15A promptly, but wasn't provided a link to download the software, nor any registration codes.  Their website provided a link where I could enter my order number and request the software link.  This they sent.  After loading the software, it wants me to register my software in order to activate certain aspects of it.  It further states that I should have received the registration codes in an e-mail.  This did not happen.  I have sent e-mails asking for the registration codes, but they are not responding.  They do, however, continue to send me e-mailed advertisements.

Frankly, this really hasn't been a stellar experience with X10.com

Does anyone have suggestions on what to do next?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe this will help.

I had a similar problem and it took like almost a week for them to respond.

One more tiny thing...check your junk-mail folder. X10's 'stuff' frequently winds up in mine...
AHP 3.236. CM15A. XTB-IIR. XTBM. Hauppauge 950Q.

I've actually had some luck receiving my registration codes using the homepage chat.
I provide my order # and ask for the codes and they will email them right away in most cases.
Your registration codes are normally your order number with a -1, -2, -3 etc... on the end for each software item that requires a code.

Thanks for the help.  The -1 registered one package.  I'll have to arbitrarily try -2 and -3, etc. to see if the other will register.
Checked the junk folder and it was Old Mother Hubbard's Cupboard....

Update 12/2:  After trying various suffixes, I finally got it to accept registration.

Still haven't heard back from tech support.  If they really want to sell me something, you'd think that they would have actually e-mailed the links and the registration codes as they indicate or at least respond to requests via tech support.  Oh well, it's their business and they can run it any way they want.

Thanks again for the help,
