« on: May 21, 2010, 01:22:12 PM »

Did I miss something at some point in time ???   Last couple of orders have been coming from East Coast. I was spoiled getting things in about 2 days or so from Las Vegas (Lost Wages) Taking 6 days or so now.

Mine still comes from New Jersey, but about 5 business days out.  Of course Fedex always has the estimated delivery day 1 day later then when it really comes   ;)

Returning a product for a replacement was horrendous for me.  Shipped mine Apr 12, they received it April 15.  I called April 26 to find out they had not even packed a replacement up to ship it out.  they promised the next monday (Apr 26) to ship one out, but it wasnt shipped out until that wednesday.  I received it on May 5th.

So the whole thing was April 12 - May 5th :(

To CT from NJ it took my orders maybe 2 days FedEx Ground. Now that that went to SmartPost and FedEx drops it off for the Post Office to deliver. It take 6-7 days from NJ to my house.

Yes, I started realizing the 'hand off'.

Hard to be patient when the jones for some new or additional stuff arises.  ;D

X10 is not alone in using Smatpost. Smarthome actually calls Smartpost their "Deluxe Ground Shipping". I would not wan to use their Economy Ground.  ;D

Being close to the shipping point does not guarantee quick delivery.  We are only 120 miles north of Vegas.  I would normally expect delivery in a day or two, but FedEx takes almost a week.  I tracked it once.  As I recall it first went to Phoenix, then Salt Lake, then Cedar City, and finally here.

My last order took 10 days. After a week of continuously checking the garage and front door, I remembered why I order the majority of my home automation gadgets off EBay. I must say, it got close to my place on day 7 and then decided to go see some relatives in Kansas.

Weird...

Jeff, you reminded me of an order out of Los Angeles once. It's an hour from LA to my area ? (if some nut ball isn't on his lid on Freeway) rofl
The company used DHL. The package went past me 100 miles and turned around and came back.
