I was reconfiguring my security/AHP/everything-i-own today to get some semblance of standardizing (setting house codes on different device, etc).
Anyhow - went to setup the MS10a, and found the buttons (test & code) felt really weird. Just felt 'dead'.
So, I pulled it down, and noticed it was rattling.
Yanked the back off, and found that both the chicklet foils for the buttons had fallen off!
Seems the tape that holds them down came loose. So, lined them back up best I could and stuck 'em back down.
Nailed the test one - not sure if I got the code one or not since it's not so obvious as 'Ding!' when you push it.
So - if you seem to have dead buttons on yours... it might just be the same.
