i just got my security system and this would be a great option to have when you forget the remote and those times when someone needs to get in to your house and you not there

It could be made similar to the battery operated keypad I have right outside my garage door.  That is a wireless keypad that operates my garage door.  It shouldn't be that difficult to put a similar type of keypad together that would work with the security console wirelessly like the fob.

I'm pretty sure my wireless keypad stores the code IN THE KEYPAD, then sends the "code" only upon getting the correct input.
That would beat a device that sends all the keypresses as X10 codes, then disarms at the console.
