Camera image goes away when resizing or changing resolution

I have a Xcam2 color camera using the Vanguard Control Center.  When I open Vanguard, the live camera image comes up fine, but if i go to resize the Vanguard window or change the size of the image (either by selecting 200% or changing the capture resolution), the image goes away entirely, and I can see the desktop where the image should be.

I've installed on two different Windows XP netbooks I have and both have the same problem.  Any ideas?

What version of the Vanguard software are you running?
There was a recent update released you may want to try if you are running an older version.
