PowerMid light stays on

I have the PowerMid extender and the red light on the transmitter stays on from time to time. It seems it will stay on after hitting a button on my Harmony 880. At first I thought it was too close to my TV but now it's 10ft from my TV and it still does it. Sometimes it does not transmit a signal when the light is on but eventually if I hit a button a couple of times the light will go off.

Any advice?
