AHP with xps3-iw switches
« on: November 04, 2010, 12:57:21 PM »

I am using  a couple of these switches to run outlets outside for my holiday lighting.  Problem is, they go off but there is still a little power that runs to the outlets as i can see the lights on very dim.  I had this problem before with the plug in modules. i would turn off the power via ahp or the table top controller, but the lights would be on very dim.  Both light sets that were plugged in were LED's.  Thoughts??

Put a small 4 watt night light bulb on the setup.
A power tap so you can plug in a night light on each outlet should do the trick.

There is a small current from the 'relay status' sensing circuit. That can keep real low current things like LEDs partially glowing even when off.
