User Account Control Prompt when opening AHP
« on: October 05, 2010, 04:34:15 PM »

I am running AHP 3.285 on Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit.
Every time I open AHP, I get a User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
Is there any way to disable this *JUST* for AHP, without having to turn of UAC completely?

Can you right click on the AHP icon and select properties and then select "run as administrator"?  Maybe that will work.

I believe I set mine to always run as administrator by right-clicking the AHP icon, properties, compatibility, privilege level, and at the bottom select run as administrator. Apply and ok.

Not sure if this will work, but it may be worth a shot.

@Noam:
Unfortunately there are no "per program" exemptions. It's either UAC on or off. Windows 7 does introduce a "sliding control" for UAC that can be used to make it less restrictive (and probably not bug you about AHP in the process). There have been some workarounds documented on the web, perhaps looking here as mentioned in the original ActivePhone thread may help
