DS10A Disappears from AHP
« on: November 17, 2010, 02:39:49 PM »

I have a macro where my front door sensor (DS10A) is triggered, the porch lights turn off 3 minutes later. It seems to work occasionally (especially when my PC is on). But it disappears from AHP. I look in the logs and it says signal from unknown source. If I reinstall it, it seems to work, but when the PC is powered off, it loses it.  Any suggestions?

Thanks.

How can a DS10 disappear from AHP when you can't add it to AHP?   It's not listed in AHP, perhaps on the add-ons.

The DS10A sensors are available in AHP with the OnAlert plug-in.
As far as I know, you cannot use a security sensor to trigger a macro unless it is run from the computer.
This would explain why it does not trigger when your AHP computer is off.

What JB said.
The PC absolutely must be on to process the DS10A signal.
Also remember to save your files before you exit AHP.

Although my explanations may not be exactly clear, I do hope for slightly less cloudy.
