HELP PLEASE......Could someone give me some advice??
« on: November 21, 2010, 10:53:07 AM »

I am a weather nut.

I am looking to have an outdoor, wireless, color video camera with pan and tilt feature that I could put on the corner of my house to RECORD video to my PC in my basement as storms come through my area.

What would you guys suggest?

THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!!

John

Any of the X10 cams will work outdoors you may need to protect the Pan n tilt base in case of freeze ups.
Usualy placing your cam under an overhang will be enough.
The sentinel has the pan n tilt built in as well as it is enclosed but is the most expensive.

The Sentinel is the only higher end CCD PTZ camera x10 offers with an outdoor dome.
You would have to have it mounted very high to get the most benefit from it as the tilt is optimized to have the camera look downward.
I use a Sentinel and several Vanguard cameras myself.
The Vanguards are a lesser cost and work very well for me mounted inside in windows.
The Vanguards are not made to mount outside as they are shipped from X10, but you may be able to find an outdoor dome to fit one in.
