What's best X10 Commander or ActivePhone?

What's best X10 Commander or ActivePhone?

X10 commander works over the web, and ActivePhone is primarily meant for wifi only, although  I've read discussions on how to configure it to work over the web.

How about ease of use and the interface?  Price is the same for both, $10.  I'd like input from users before I commit to one or the other.  I'll be using on an Iphone.

Thanks!

i use activephone on my 3gs and love it.

I dont need it to work over the web since theres no reason for me. but i like the fact when i install a new module through ahp it automatically is in activephone labeled better than my handheld chicken scratch i wrote lol.

just bookmark it to your iphone home screen and your modules are a click away

X10 commander is better i think. You don't have mess with change house codes on your phone. It works with 3G and WiFi works great. I think its allot faster and save time. I do have activephone and onalert mobile but i like commander allot better.

I have 3gs iphone

x10 commander is a native mobile app with a free server side program that can talk to your powerline interface without activehome.

ActivePhone is not a native app, only a website you access from your phone that is tied to ActiveHome

Sounds something like the cell phone equivalent of LogMeIn.  That is, the free version...........

Agree!
X10 Commander is much better, since it's simple and fast.
While activephone: I believe VNC, Teamviewer, or other free app can do the job too: too complicate on tiny phone screen.
