Hi trying to help a friend install his new CM15a I have one but it's been so long that I actually forgot the install procedure. We download and installed the software but when we plug the CM15a in we get that New Hardware found so what do you do after this comes up there's noting in the manual and I forgot what you do when you see this. When we go in the program it says the interface is not connected, he's currently running Windows XP.  ???   Thanks

During the AHP Install was there a message about allowing drivers to be installed?
After the New Hardware Found. Did you get a message about installing drivers? Then maybe hardware ready to use?

Maybe a look in Device Manager to see if the X10 device is listed while the CM15A is connected. May give some clues.

I didn't have to do anything else after installing AHP and the drivers where found for the CM15A.

The drivers are found in C:\Program Files \Common Files\X10\DriverInstall\Wireless Transceivers by default.

I didn't see this in the thread but a couple things.
- Which flavor of xp are you using and is it patched?
- Are you logged in as an administrator?

As far as I remember you don't want to install the drivers manually as it's a part of the software installation.

Just cancel the driver search and run the software install.

Hope it helps.

Could be any number of things a corrupt download while installing is what would be my first guess.
