Sentinal disables wifi after power outage
« on: December 08, 2010, 11:33:51 AM »

After a power outage yesterday, we can't use our wifi (Cisco Linksys) if the camera is on.  It worked fine before this and we didn't change a thing (settings, etc.) after.  When we turn the camera off, the wifi comes right up, if we turn the camera on, it shuts the wifi down.  We do have the camera set as a wired connection, would it help to set switch on camera to transmit disable?  Thanks in advance!

If you are not using the wireless signal to get the video.
I would say yes turn off the transmit as X10 wireless cameras and WiFi both share the same 2.4GHz band.
My guess is the WiFi is now using a different channel and the camera is also close or on the same frequency.
