Plug in Phase Coupler
« on: February 10, 2011, 03:21:09 PM »

Need some help here. I had a commercial phase coupler installed at the box. I'm still having issues across phases. I heard about a PLUG IN device that plugs into a 220volt socket and has pass thrus to then plug dryer into PLUG IN. The device has the phase coupling internal without taking up an outlet.

Does anyone know where to get one of these?

Is the one installed now a passive coupler or a coupler repeater?

If you already have a passive coupler installed on the breaker box I doubt another passive coupler is going to do much.

Smarthome makes one for the dryer. If it is the three pin style. The four pin is discontinued.

They do make a plug in coupler repeater but only the four pin is now available. It is also known to have problems with the CM15A in some installs.

JV Engineering XTB-IIR is a much better coupler repeater.
