WSR Macros [X10Voice control]
« on: February 08, 2011, 11:58:45 AM »

Before I get everyone in a up roar I'm not suggesting anyone dump what they are currently using! ::) :'

If you have Vista or Windows 7 and you haven't found this hidden gem I suggest you give it a run!
Some of you have seen where I've mentioned the use of this in my setup.
It has expanded the possible things I can do Via voice control 10 fold.
You could use this and fire off voice X10 Commands not the best way but hey it is free.
The power comes when you can use this combined with Windows VR to start and control other programs via voice.
WSR Macros
I haven't found any program I can't start with a MSR Macro.
However there are some that you can't do anything with via voice once open, AHP is one. :'(
Now there is a forum of sorts for this where you can find sample WSR Macros to try.
You can use the AHCMD with this to fire off x10 commands which can in turn trigger AHP macros.

This works so well with PcCompanion and it's commandline options! :)%
These seem to fire off even quicker then when triggered with AHP! ;)
I've started to add extra options for end users to create triggers.
These can be triggered with a Windows Command.
This will allow voice control of almost every aspect of PcCompanion. :)%
AHP will get a boost too, as it can trip the user created triggers.
True the WSR Macros can be difficult to set up for some tasks. ::) :'
However sending a Windows Command Argument to PcCompanion is not!
It's as simple as doing it in AHP. :)%
Maybe easier! ::) :'

Well maybe not the WSR Macros but Windows 7 VR in general.
With sevice pack 1 now running the VR has fewer false recognitions! :)%

The more I play with this little tool the more possibilities open up!
This is really a VR listener as it listens specifically for the phrase you told it to. :)%
Since it uses the OS VR, the recognition is more accurate.
it intergrates will all windows apps.
It will help tie most of your HA applications together, some better then others. ;)

With the last couple of updates to PC Companion I've boosted the possible command line options 10 fold.
With WSR macros You could now even turn PCC into a Chat bot. ::) :'
