On Alert Security Macros
« on: February 21, 2011, 04:35:55 PM »

When I create a macro using a security device as the trigger, the resulting .ahx file has a HC/UC assigned to the macro and it does show up when you select "Find other computers" from the "Tools" menu.  It appears that the macro with that particular HC/UC won't be triggered from a remote such as a palm pad, but should I be concerned if an actual module, such as a light/applicance/wall switch,  is assigned the same HC/UC and the security device triggers???  I'll try further testing, but I hope that someone else has gone this route.  Thanks

Yes.
When use security as trigger:
1. Choose "Use Adress" first, pick the same address as your sensor. Hit Enter
2. Then choose "Security" device again.

By that, u create the marcro as same adress as the security device/sensor.
I hope u know how to make ur security devices/sensor in an adress that u prefer when installed in AHP.
If not, it's best to do that. Use search in this forum.

( treat sensor as lamp or other divice, pick address, hit Enter, re-choose it as security device)
