CM15a Usage
« on: May 01, 2011, 05:37:13 PM »

Hi

I just ordered a CM15a including some other products and was wonder if it works like a cm751 where when it's plugged into a socket, it will convert RF signals to PLC signals automatically without being plugged into a computer via usb?

Because my CM751 works fine for converting RF to PLC, but when I try my CM15a it does not work at all to convert the RF to PLC.

It does, but you have to tell the CM15A what house codes you want transceived (under Tools/Hardware in AHP). Also the CM15A has range issues. There are work-arounds on this forum. Search "range" and "CM15A".

Yes it should.

Check the Tranceived House Codes and if it says Auto. Try specific and check off the house codes you want to use.

One point you may not have seen yet. The CM15A is not known for great RF reception distances. That is why we have many threads on CM15A antenna modifications.
