Over the past few days, connecting to the forum seems to take much longer (20 seconds plus on a broadband connection). I am not seeing this delay with X10.com or any other site. Any one else seeing this? Or is the problem at my end.

Thanks

I will keep a closer watch on it.
I know some forums I access have slow periods in the day.
Not sure if it is server load or maybe what part of the country it is in and main network traffic.

I use Firefox 4.0.1 and the Forums always load promptly. I'm on Comcast Internet out of Baltimore.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!

I have not seen any issues with my Charter broadband connection running under firefox 4 on my linux box or my XP HA PC.  Things are pretty snappy for me.

Based on these comments, my guess is the problem is at my end. Interestingly, I can connect quicker by going to X10.com and getting to the forum through the Support drop down menu, than by going to "www.forums.X10.com" directly. I am not sure how to troubleshoot but think I will start by cleaning the crud out of IE.

Thanks to all for the help!!

Try dropping the "www", and instead going to "http://forums.x10.com"
See if that makes a difference for you.

Thanks much Noam, but the comment address was in error. The shortcut that I am really using is :  http://forums.x10.com/

Perhaps God is trying to teach me patience  :D

Lately the forum has been under attack by Spam bots.
While looking for ways to fight this I found other forums with this issue reporting slow connection times.
While we are still under attack, these bots are being stopped at the registration process.
It is possible this is the cause if a clean out of EI temp files doesn't fix the issue.
