Hey everyone

I'm trying to wire up the WS12A wall switches for the first time, and i'm having trouble figuring out which wires to connect, as the switch only talks about 2 wires (and a 3rd extra if you're using a 3-way slave/master situation), but my existing switch has 3 wires when it only has one switch (no 3-way thing).

Pictures are linked, do you know which to use? I'm guessing probably the 2 black ones, but thats just a guess... how would I tell which one to connect to the blue and which to the black as well?

Thanks for your help!

For easier reference, the WS12A manual is here: http://www.thavidu.com/junk/ws12a-14a-is.pdf

Use the two black wires. The green wire is a ground. Although the WS12 does not need to be grounded to work, if you want it grounded, try and slip the green wire under one of the mounting tabs.

The switch should work either way. If you can tell which of the black wires is the hot line from the breaker panel, tie it to the blue wire. (check for 120V to the green ground wire using a meter).
