Pin Reset To Default
« on: July 15, 2011, 06:49:12 PM »

I have my SC1200 setup for five days now. Today I attempted to use my cell phone to check the status but my pin was rejected. When I got home I tried the pin on the console and it was rejected also.  On a hunch I put in the default code and it worked. What would cause a pin to be reset like that cause this could potentially be a huge hole in the security of the system.

Nothing else changed.  I am still able to arm and dis-arm,  turn on lights etc.

No possibility someone reset it on you?

Will see what I can find out.

I have tried a few things, but was unable to find a way it could change without user intervention.

We have not seen any other reports of PINs changing yet and I hope this is not a trend starting.

You may want to keep a close eye on it and if anything else happens. Call X10 Customer Support and they may have more details or replace it as a warranty replacement.

I have been monitoring to see if it happens again and so far it has not.  Will keep you posted if it happens again.
