Canada Shipping
« on: September 13, 2011, 02:44:10 PM »

Hi Guys!

I'M from montreal and ordered last week the Airpad.  After i placed the order, i noticed that there's no shipping in Canada for now.  So i want to know why you take order for Canada if you're not ready to ship in my country.  Second thing, i sent two e-mail to ask for order request status and got no reply from you guys... So, now i really want to know what to expect for my order.  How long should i will have to wait to get it.  if it's too long maybe, i'll cancel, but i need to have at least an approx delivery date...

Thank you
P.S. sorry for my english my first language is french...

Hi gang,

I'm also from Canada & my order was placed on September 8th.

After emailing X10, Jen wrote that the Airpad should be shipped Monday or Twesday. We are Wednesday, and I did not get any confirmation by email or by phone.

In the past I have bought many iems from X10 without any real problems.

Yesterday I sent you YB a personnal email with my order number...

My question is quite simple. When will the Airpad  be shipped to me in Canada?

Hoping for a quick reply.

Regards

Shipping AirPad to Canada
« Reply #3 on: September 14, 2011, 04:33:45 PM »

Just received a call from X10 and they informed me the AirPad can now ship to Canada, but for a $30 shipping charge.
I had tried to order one when they first announced it and was quickly called and notified they couldn't ship to Canada at that time.
I hadn't noticed the fine print stating they could only ship to US addresses.
Hopefully this is good news for anyone wanting to pick one of these up in Canada.

Jb I merged your thread with this one as they dealt with the same issue.
I also received a Call from X10 but missed it so I have to call back. :(
I'm not happy about the extra shipping cost as they've had my money now for about a month.
It makes me feel like I bought it but need to pay extra to play with it.
I've had larger orders shipped for the standard shipping charge.

They didn't explain the extra shipping cost to me during the call.
I've been purchasing x10 products for years and out of the thousands of dollars spent I've never had to pay more than the standard flat shipping rate to Canada.

Good Luck. A few years ago my grandson was selling some PCBs and components for a DIY project I had designed. He had an order for 4-5 units which totaled about $100 but once it crossed into Canada, it disappeared. Apparently, he had not printed the address EXACTLY as prescribed by your postal authority so they just pitched it. I no longer accept orders from Canada unless it goes by UPS which usually adds cost for import duties (which might account for some of the added costs complained of here).

Here's my story,

I Didn't accept the extra $30 shipping charges for Canada. So, i ask X10 to cancel my order and give me back my money.  Receive a reply telling me my request was sent to the good dept and will have my paypal account credit by 5-10 days.  Two weeks after, still waiting for my money, chat with them and they were telling me it takes 7-14 days.  Now we are on the 18th days since my cancellation and still waiting for my money.  i'm afraid to not get my money... What should i do now ???

Well that depends on how you paided.
If you paid by credit card You can contact your CC company and explain to them so charges can be reversed.
If you paid by check you can just cancel it at the bank.
If you used PayPal you can file a dispute.
Or you can contact X10 repeatedly requesting refund status.

;D  Seems like the paypal dispute did the job... Finally get my refund today...

Or you can contact X10 repeatedly requesting refund status.

We Shouldn't have to fight to get our money back.  Any good Business with an average customer service will solve issue like that in a couple of days... Not 18 days.

  ;) My 2 cents!

I agree!
If they haven't shipped the item as in your case the refund should have been immediately.
With a paypal transaction it is a simple button press on a PC.
