Okay this is my first Android device so I can't compare it to other pads.
I've had some time to play with this.
However it wasn't as long as I wanted!
My son in-law got hold of it and thinks it is awesome!
I had to pry it out of his hands.
Boot time is faster then my XP notebook.
Virtual keybook is usable but there are other thirdparty versions I'm told are better.
Speakers are loud enough for personal use with most apps I've tested but volume varies with app.
The display surprised me in that it is better then I expected.
Wifi seems to work as well as my notebook.
Browser works well and zoom in out works well (son in-law showed me that) just like the ipad!
Have had some issues with posting in this forum using it but it is most likely my fat fingers.
Game play Looks good and works well I'm told!
Since I picked this up so I could test run apps I plan on creating.
I've been looking @ apps with Voice recognition and TTS
TTS works well however voice is a little robotic but better then the stock XP voices.
On the upside there are thirdparty voices which sound very good and they're cheep!
I've yet to test a Voice recognition app but the record function works good and play back is clear.
This device has a few drawbacks but is mostly software related As it is running on a phone OS.
It has no phone but utilizes battery power running stuff for it.
Wifi must be turned on on each power up if you wish to use it(no setting to have it always on.
Maybe a thirdparty app could fix that.
As for thirdparty apps there are tons of freebie ones and most paid once are very cheep.
I'll update this thread as time moves on!
for now I give this a thumbs up!
