Are timer start/end dates limited to a calendar year
« on: November 17, 2011, 03:40:36 PM »

If I want a module to work between 11/15 and 3/14 of the following year, can I set the timer to start 11/15 and end 3/14, or must timers be written  to work between 11/15 and 12/31, and then 1/1 to 3/14? All the examples I've seen are set to start and end within a calendar year.

To be honest? I have never tried that.
It certainly SHOULD work if you use separate timers for the 11/15-12/31, and 1/1-3/14, but I have no idea what will really happen.

I suppose you could test it:
1. Set a timer to operate only from 11/16-11/14, and see what happens today (11/17).
2. Set another timer to operate only from 11/19-11/15, and see what happens today. (adjust the dates if you are testing on a different day).

The first timer should work today, because the only day it should not work is 11/15.
The second timer should NOT work today, because it should not work between 11/16 and 11/18.

Try it, and see what happens.
