Switch Module WS467 X-10
« on: December 04, 2011, 03:40:57 PM »

good friends.
I have X10 installed various devices (Switch Module WS467 X-10) at home.
This the same were working either directly with the remote, so not to give me something happened emanates not know what can be.
One of the lamps are not turned off, by putting up the intensity in + normally, but when lowered intensity reached a tenuous beginning to blink and do not go out.
Try turning it off directly from the switch and the remote control and none of the forms work.
If anyone can help me identify the fault appreciate it.
Greetings from Panama.

What kind of light bulb is connected to the WS467?
Only incandescent bulbs work correctly with a WS467. Bulbs like CFL, LED or low voltage do not work.

It sounds like you have either CFL or LED bulbs installed in the fixture.
Since Panama uses 110V 60Hz power just like the US (http://treehouse.ofb.net/go/en/voltage/Panama), the modules should operate the same there as they do in the US.

As Brian stated, the WS467 is designed to work with Incandescent bulbs only (it says so right on the label, and in the instructions). Other bulb types do not allow the correct amount of current to pass through the switch to allow the internal circuitry to work properly.

Replacing at least one bulb per fixture with an Incandescent bulb should solve the issue for you.

Well as I indicated the system was working well and after a month of being shut down, or utilizandece not controlled by the same switch or lamp lay at low intensity and begins to raise and lower the light intensity fluctuation as if there current, with the difference that just happens to that connection, the other lights are working.

With regard to the sources used are 4 yellow incandescent Hosea, as the switch is a dimer.

If you move the small disconnect safety switch below the on off button and wait maybe 30 seconds.
Then move the safety switch back to the normal position and see if it still acts strange.
The electronics maybe doing strange things and needs a power cycle to clear it out.

The switch may also have failed.

Well folks after disconnecting the main power Barket for a time the switch worked again for a time in the morning of that day were set alone, and turned down the intensity to rise, and did not pay.

Not to leave and late at night with that switch on, what I did was move him to the bottom button to turn off, but does not operate the remote control or the intensity ...

Messrs. which may be what is failing ....
thanks

No one helps us.
At least report if the device is damaged or
Because the lights are not turned off and the intensity rises and falls alone ...

When you moved the botton switch. You disconnect from the power. So nothing will control it.
The reason we asked you to try that was it would reset the electronics if it was confused.

If it is the only problem X10 switch you have. Maybe it has failed and you need a new one.

Also we are are volunteers here so if you expect a official X10 response. You may not get one.
