I don't know what else to try. My floodlights
refuse to turn off.

I've tried:

I've also tried sending an OFF with 2
different working remotes.  Same house code
on all devices.

I even tried the Floodcam procedure (even
though I don't have a cam):

I only install the floodlights 4 months out
the year and they worked fine last year.

Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks.

i was thinking of buying the flood lights
or the ones with teh cam, your opinion??? I
am thinking ob buying the ds7000 also. what
other sw and etc do i have to buy with the
floodlights and ANy comments?   you can

Hi Teresa,
you indicate that you are trying to use a
remote control to send the X10 off signal.
Do you have a plug-in type controller like a
Maxi or Mini or even the IR convertor,
IR543? If you do have you tried that?
Reason I ask is sometimes the RF signal sent
by a transceiver from a remote gets lost or
interfered with but a plugin controller
works OK.  If you don't have a plug-in
controller I would try locating the
transceiver to another outlet that's on the
same phase as the light. I've found that a
transceiver not working on one outlet
mysteriously works on another.

I'm having the same problem as with quite a few people I see from searching X10's website.  I did come across 1 post which I am going to try tonight.  Try setting your floodlights further away from your motion detector (i.e. spread them further apart or maybe up or down)  Apparently the heat from the lights can cause the sensor to trip as they are heat sensors not actual motion detectors. 

I had these hooked up to my previous house and everything ran fine for over 2 years, but I do admit I had the lights pointing directly down while the camera was actually facing directly straight out, Well good luck, I will try it tonight and report back in a few days.  If anyone else trys please let us all know before people start going crazy around here....lol

I was having the same problem with floodlights that are on different circuits (and even different circuit breaker boxes). One is by a woodshed and the other at the gable end of the house. Both lights had been staying on for 2 days - despite repeatedly trying to turn them off with both remotes and plugged in controllers.

I accessed the panel on the one unit (woodshed), and after flipping the switch from 'sensor' to 'dusk' and then back to 'sensor'... then using a controller that was plugged into an outlet on the woodshed - the units shut off. The same controller - plugged into that same outlet didn't work until after changing the switches (back and forth).
