what does this mean?
« on: March 10, 2012, 06:03:31 PM »

If I have my SC1200 armed and there is a zone flashing, I assume that means that the zone flashing is not functioning properly. I pressed the  test button and the zone stopped flashing. ummmm......WHY ???

According to the manual, the console may not have received the regular check-in from that remote sensor. Try new batteries.

Is there any other message on the SC1200s LCD display?
Was it flashing after you tried to Arm it?
As dave w pointed out. The Sensor for that zone didn't check in with in four hours or you tried to arm the console and one of the Zones was Open.

no message about any problems. just read "armed way". in other words, i armed the system before going to bed, woke up and the #10 zone was blinking but system was still armed. i pressed the test button on the #10 door monitor and the flashing stopped and the system stayed armed. not really worried just wondering if this meant anything that i could correct. one zone not working while armed is like a game of russian roulette. gonne try batteries, i guess even new batteries could be bad. thanks everyone for all your help
