AirSight 39A remote access using DDNS
« on: May 16, 2012, 09:05:57 PM »

I can't connect to the DDNS host XXXXX.gipcam.com web site for remote access to my AirSight 39A ip camera.  I've spend hours with x10, ATT DSL and ATT Mobility tech supports to no avail.  They all try to help but eventually keep referring to to someone else.  All ports are set up correctly in the camera and router, and DDNS is open.  If I can't resolve this problem the camera goes back.  HELP.

Looks like this camera is going back.  No one, and I mean no one, seems to be able to make this thing work.  I've spent hours with x10 tech, ATT tech and ATT Mobile tech supports and still can't get wireless and remote access to work.  And now I can't log in using IE.  What a waste of time.

It's going back, called for an RMA on Friday.  Very disappointed in this product.  I found a similar product that is admittedly more $ but at least they use their own web site to host remote access not a third party provider like gipcam.com (which, FYI, is a domain host located in Hong Kong).  I have purchased many products from x10 in the past and been very satisfied.  This one, however, has turned me off to x10.

I had a similar problem but it started working after I turned off my 2.4 gigahertz video sender
