X-10, What has become of you?

I'm listed as a newbie but am far from it with X-10. I started with BSR gear in the 1970's and once had an ultrasonic transmitter/receiver that worked up until a couple decades ago.

Yeah, I do have a Zenith "Space Commander" ultrasonic remote, but not the TV!!

While I may not have all the answers, I have years of experiance I'm willing to share. I've been reading the forums as a guest for quite some time and decided I'd join the fray.

I was not aware of X-10 mfg. issues until recently when I had to replace a 240V HD module and had to search other vendors for a module in stock. I have noticed that many older switches are no longer available.

My current home is filled with modules, switches, and the humorously funny CM-15 module. It does work... mostly, but sure has it's oddities..

I'd like to hear from others on any mods and hacks for X-10 modules and software options. I sometime rebuild my older decora style switches when that silly metal switch contact wears out and am always looking for other fixes.

Now about that CM-15......
