I just received a email regarding the new Air Sights.

Also you can let the forum users know that we should receive the first batch of cameras next week and that they either be available for sale next week or week after that depending on when they arrive. This is a limited supply due to the Chinese new year but more will be on their way soon. You guys are the first to know. We will send an email out to people on our list next to let them know before the general public. Once we get the new cameras out I would like to receive feedback on extra features and how we can improve the units even more.

These are produced by a different manufacture then the originals so I don't suspect the firmware will be compatible with the old units.
However I'll see what I can find out in this area as I know some are having issues in this area.

I requested some additional info on what Air Sights would be in this initial shipment. And was given this reply.

We will have an indoor camera, outdoor camera, and a HD camera. They all are easyscan, P2P which makes setting up a lot easier than before.  We don’t have any PTZ models but we will place an order for those later.
As for the firmware, the request has been submitted to the manufacture and I'm waiting for a response, stay tuned. ::) :'

Ok new Airsights are here!
There was a issue with the software for Androids that the owner wasn't happy with, this delayed the release date of the cameras.
It is good to know the owner has concerns about quality and not just $$$
The cameras are set to be released later today, A standard(indoor), outdoor, and a HD version.

The outdoor PTZ camera will be manufactured and made available later this year. This is one I'm waiting for. ;)

The initial setup of these appears to be very simple.
