What plugins would you miss?
« on: December 12, 2014, 10:15:53 AM »

With the ability to register AHP and the plugin as of now not possible I'm wondering:
1: What plugins every one has installed?
2: Did you use them and miss the fact they no longer work?
3: If you had the choice what plugins would you now wish to keep once you have to upgrade your PC?

I've submitted a couple of solution ideas to Authinx to help with registration.
Since getting the servers back online isn't happening anytime soon another way to register is needed.
I'm looking to see what everyone would miss if a universal registration is setup.
It is now possible to get your existing setup moved to and unlocked (registered) on a new or other PC.
AHP Lifejacket may get expanded to a universal AHP registration at some point ::) :'

I myself don't have any of the mobile plugins but I might like ActivePhone or ActivePhone Pro (not sure what the difference is)
The Myhouse Online Plugin is pretty much useless without the server and never worked that great for me to begin with so I could do without it.
The Iwatchout plugin is also pretty much useless without one of the video input devices which are now hard to find other then a va11a and they won't work on anything newer then XP.
I do miss the Iwatchout  plugin but with converting to IP cameras this is getting easier to loose.

I wouldn't want to lose Smart Macros or OnAlert. True I do use other HA software but for my Off grid place (no PC running) AHP is needed to program my CM15A

I really liked activephone when it worked. Myhouse online never really worked that well for me. The security module plugin is a must. So is smartmacros.
The garage door thing wasn't a very elegant solution with newer, more secure door openers, and to make it work well would require a new piece of hardware.
I call B.S. on pro editions of existing plugins, as well as mobile versions. This just seemed like a nickel and dime money grab.

I felt that way right from the start. http://forums.x10.com/index.php?topic=21926.msg124299#msg124299

I don't remember what plugins where part of my package deal.
I only have Smart Macros and OnAlert registered.

I am not presently using AHP and the CM15A.

Smart Macros is the only one I use.  It is the difference between a timer and a really nice set up.  I have used it for many years and still think it is great.

Although I currently have Onalert, Smartmacros, iWatchout, MyHouse and ActivePhone online currently installed.
Smartmacros is the one I would miss the most.
Onalert would be close behind followed by iWitness however I've started to move towards IP cameras now so iWitness is becoming obsolete.
MyHouse Online never did work well enough for me to use :'( and with the servers off line it is useless. :'(
Active Phone I never did get much chance to play with  and again with the servers being off line it is at the bottom of my list.
All the additional mobile plugins never were worth the money X10 thrown at developing them. I think users could have done and still can do the same things with other free apps.
