These new appliance modules have AGC to help with signals in noisy situations.
I've tested with moderate noise and they work well.
I had thought these would come with a less noisy relay as Authinx stated they wished all new devices with the old relay to receive these.
However the web page makes no mention of this and I was disappointed that the loud click was still present.
I asked Authinx about this and was told it is still there plan to incorporate this into all modules however cost is a over riding factor right now.
They opted to go with a reliability fix for now and add the cosmetics later.
I'll continue to test these in noisy situations to see just where they start to stop working reliable.
How much noise did it perform well under you ask?
Using a XTBM signal meter the noise tested under was .04Vpp however during a send it peaked to .99Vpp at times.
The modules have yet to fail to respond to a command I send them
Bottom Line:
I would have replaced all my current appliance modules had these had the silent relay.
However don't let that stop you from getting these they do perform well in my tests thus far.
