Tamper Zone 0
« on: October 28, 2018, 05:26:38 PM »

I just updated my security system from DS10A to DS12A window and door sensors. Now soon after I arm my console (Model SCV1200) the alarm sounds and I get the code "Tamper Zone 0".  I have zones 1 - 10 armed... there is no 0. Could someone please help.

Is Zone 0 an option? Mine is not the latest but the Zones are 1-30 for wireless devices and 31-32 for the hard wired Zones.
If Zone 0 is an option and you have no sensor on 0. Have you tried the remove a sensor choice in the menu. To remove anything in Zone 0.

The DS12A has two individual zones in it. The magnetic switch next to the side of the case and an external wired in magnetic switch connected to the terminal block on the bottom edge of the PCB. If the external zone is not used. You need a jumper between the two terminals. Should be there from the factory but I would verify it is there. I actually used only the external switch input. As my DS12A would not mount so the supplied magnet would not line up with the case and was unused. So I only registered the external one. I have tested and you can actually register each as a separate zone in the SC1200.

Zone "0" is not an option. I am not sure why this shows. I am thinking that I might have a defective console, I have also written tech support about this. When unarmed the Zone 6 constantly shows as being a tamper zone. I have never been able to use this system properly.
