Trouble wit alexa executing commands
« on: November 26, 2020, 11:27:57 AM »

I have my raspberry pie all set up with home genie and when i ask alexa comands it will respond by either turning something on or off depending the command. but maybe a day or even a few hours later ask alexa a command and it will tell me unit is not responding and to check network connections, and then maybe a 1/2 hour later if you ask it again it will work. but if it dosent I have to reboot the rasperry pi and then we start the cycle all over again untill it dosent respond is there any settings that need to be adjusted. Please advise.

If Alexa is saying to check network connections you should set your router IP reservations to include the IP for the pi if not already done. You don't say how Alexa is communicating with HG. It is possible if your using HA-Bridge or other bridge software that the issue is a setting there.
