Thinking about getting an Echo Show 8 for my kitchen.   I'd like to use it to display HomeGenie via a web browser bookmark.

I'm not familiar with the device at all - wondering if anyone is doing this already.

It certainly should be doable however the question should be posted to a forum more dedicated to Amazon products like this one:
https://www.echotalk.org/index.php there are lots of users there that have 1 or more of the echo show in operation.  ;)

For about the same money you might want to look at the Lenovo Smart Tab P10 10.1” Android Tablet, Alexa-Enabled Smart Device with Fingerprint Sensor and Smart Dock Featuring 4 Dolby Atmos Speakers - 64GB Storage with Alexa Enabled Charging Dock Included.  We tried the Show but returned it and bought this instead.

I've got an Echo already in the kitchen so don't really need something for sound.   We've had tablets around too (I could probably find one to repurpose actually).  The Echo Show would be for the display - was hoping there was a way to add a shortcut or bookmark to HomeGenie on it.

What didn't you like about it?

I may post on the board that tuicemen mentions too.

We had the 1st generation Show and things were always popping up on it so we returned it.  The Lenovo/Alexa tab has a docking station so it can work like a Show if you like or you can use it as a tablet and take it with you. My wife uses it both ways.
