How do you get HomeGenie to schedule to turn of a light
« on: December 15, 2019, 10:05:40 AM »

How do you get HomeGenie to schedule to turn of a light?  I have an outdoor light that I like to turn off by 10pm.  I see how to have it turn on but not turn off.

I use scheduler. There are probably a million ways to do it but I like scheduler as it is easier to track scheduled events. Especially if they fail.

Configure>Scheduler>add event.
Then set your time. Click add or you get an error. Don't forget to name it. HG won't recognize spaces. They are treated as a dot. For instance my Christmas lights are ChristmasLights.On. This creates a group called Christmas lights and a schedule of ON.

Next go to modules. Add your modules. Whatever they are.

Next go to script. Simply select Turn on selected modules.

Save and enjoy the schedule as things happen.

One thing I do is turn on outside lights @ 530AM when my wife gets up for work. Then I turn them off 1 hour after sunrise with the @SolarTimes.Sunrise+60 command.
