Warren Lohoff of WGL Designs passed away in November
« on: December 26, 2021, 02:32:21 PM »

Gerald Warren Lohoff, age 82, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

I was going to recommend the WGL V572A transceiver to someone having trouble with his X10 RF communication, and discovered that product was no longer available anywhere.  I have one myself along with several of the WGL Rain8 controllers for our irrigation system.  Researching further, I was saddened to learn of Warren's passing.  I communicated with him a number of times over the years.

Sad indeed.  I beta tested the original versions of it and the Rain8 and he was a very nice guy.

That is sad news.
I have a V572 through the TW523 emulation connection on my XTB-IIR

The WGL Designs web site is also now gone.

Glad I do have some of their instructions and programs archived. For the devices I own.

^^^ Rest-in-Peace. Mr. Lohoff.  A great loss for the X10 community.

For those of us leveraging Mr. Lohoff's most-excellent WGL products, you may want to consider using the "Wayback" archive machine to DL any manuals and/or programming software.  It looks like his WGL site disappeared not long after his death.
