stargate problem
« on: September 22, 2024, 06:47:51 PM »

I have 2 stargates working and a third for a spare.

Currently one of them has a problem.  turning it on left led flasshes and then goes out.  other 3 keep flashing.  I cannot connect to winevm no comm, but ports and cables work on other units.  I measured Vcc and it reads 5.5.  12v read 12.8 on this unit.  working units have 4.9v and 12.3v.  This unit is 22 years old without failures.

Caps look ok but?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Al

A couple of things to check are the MAX serial chips to restore communications and, if you can do that, try loading the f/w again.

Could  be because of the possible chip issues.
The load on the power supplies is lower and the voltage is slightly higher.
