Apple iOS problem

iPad iOS 18.1.1, X10 app 1.9.  The device status buttons (on, off) do not update. Lights go on and go off and the status in the app does not change. I can turn the lights on/off with the app. If I do a Sync the light statuses change to reflect the actual situation.
