Is there anywhere to find out what the
codes mean that are reported?  I am getting
some Receive RF codes that I have no idea
what they mean (e.g. M A, C Resize, E
Power).

I also don't understand what the commands
mean for my modules (e.g. D3 Output status
acknowledge 1b 38).

It would be helpful if there was a "code
book" so we could do some meaningful
analysis or our system.

seem to be having a problem with my lights
not coming on unless I have my AHP up and

Sorry for the double entry.  I seem to have

You apparently have an X10 LM14A 2-way module
at address D3.  The code you see is the
extended code status report from that module.
The "1b" indicates the lamp is at dim level
0 (Off) and the bulb is OK.

For help in translating extended codes,
download xtc798.doc from <http://www.x10.com/
support/support_manuals.htm> (near the bottom
of the page).  Go to the section for "TYPE =
3" in that document.

Whoops, my mistake - the "1b" doesn't mean
what I said - in fact it doesn't mean
anything!

There's a bug in AHP 3.186 and the extended
status report data value is being misreported
in the Activity Monitor as "1b" regardless of
the level of the lamp.  (The level appears
correctly in the icon.)

Demonstate this by setting various dim levels
for an actual LM14A module, clicking the Poll
button on the icon, and observing the data
value in the extended status ack (extended
code 38 hex) in the Activity Monitor - it's
always 1b.

Ray:
BTW, the data value for some extended codes,
e.g., code 0x31, is scaled by AHP from the
actual 0-62 to the 0-210 range of ordinary
lamp modules.  So when you set a LM14A to
full brightness and see in the Activity
Monitor:
"D3 Extended Code d2 31 (New LM14A)"
Then 0xd2 = 210 has to be scaled back to
the 0-62 range for agreement with the
commands in xtc798.doc.
