My CM15A still becames disconnected from
the computer. I have to unplug the USB and
replug it in. Macros and timers continue to
you run, however.

Any suggestions?

marty

Baum,

I'm going out on a limb here and assume that
you're using Windows XP.

Have you tried this?...

First, get into Device Manager.  (If you
don't know what that is... ask.  There's
several ways to get there.)

Expand the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers"
section.  You should see one "USB Root Hub"
listed for however many USB ports you have on
your computer.

Do the following for each USB Root Hub listed...

RIGHT click on "USB Root Hub."

Pick "Properties"

Click on the "Power Management" tab.

UNcheck "Allow the computer to turn off this
device to save power."

Click OK.

Remember to do this for each USB Root Hub listed.

Let us know your results.

Yes, it's Windows XP. I'll give your
suggestion a try. Thanks.

those little things.

I forgot to mention that you may need to
reboot before this change actually works.
More often than not, whenever you make a
change like this, you should reboot after
making the change.

This setting is also on your NIC ("Network
Adapter" in Device Manager).  Those of you
with Cable or DSL modems or your own little
home network who are finding that your
computer disconnects every so often will want
to UNcheck this setting on your NIC, too.
Don't forget to reboot.  If Bill Gates had a
nickle for every time I've rebooted a
computer.... oh wait... he does!  :o)

This did indeed work. It has been operating
for 5 days without a problem. thank you.

Glad to hear it. Enjoy!
