ActiveHome Pro needs a new home
« on: January 19, 2006, 04:18:00 PM »

I am ready to give AHP the old 'heave-ho".
The interface picks and chooses which
commands (timers) that it wants to obey. I
have tried the 2phase suggestion, the noise
filter suggestion. I have even moved the
interface to another location/outlet, all
to no avail. Some modules will respond to
my radio shack 7 in one remote control,
others will not. I have changed house
codes, purchased new modules, you name it,
I've done it. I didn't have this problem
when I was using whatever came before AHP,
but with this system, I'm about ready to
give it a toss. Anybody got any ideas about
how to make this horse go "giddyap"?
Frustrated in Cincinnati......

Since your post is all gibberish, toss it.
It's your money down the drain.

Alen,
Before you toss it, give this a try. You
said you had the original "Active Home"
equipment correct?! Now, open up Active
Home Pro, go to the tools menu, select
Hardware Configuration, on the right side
near bottom under "Transceived House Codes"
select "NONE" then be sure to SAVE it. Plug
in your old "RR501 Transceiver" or
a "TM751" and set it to your house code. I
have been using this set-up for a while now
with no problems or range. The CM15A will
still run all your macros and carry out
computer commands as well, and work
with "Bill's BXVC". I run two house codes
and use a TM751 for the extra code.  It
seems a shame to have to go through all
this trouble for what the CM15A should do
by itself but at least it does work.
Good luck,
Rob
