Loaded a timer file into CM15A (using 3.174)
In response to the very first macro RF
trigger, no more than a minute later, I got
message:
"Error An error has occurred while
communicating with your AH USB interface. To
make sure that your timers and macros
continue to run, click OK to download your
settigs to the tinerface"
There was also a popup indicating that a
download had completed (which I didn't yet
initiate). I assume this is the automatic
download as a result of an 'EEPROM error
report' which is new to 3.174. But why
would there be an error report from the
EEPROM at this time?
Is 'error report from EEPROM' just a
generic catchall term for any communications
errors that were detected on the USB
interface? Or does it mean memory in the
CM15A was corrupted somehow?
The timer download had already completed
before the macro trigger, and no error
message was produced at that time. What
other kinds of events cause this error
message to be produced?
I have seen this message frequently, and
usually things go rapidly downhill as a
result. The activity log (some of which I
will post next) shows evidence of that.
