Macros Hang
« on: September 23, 2005, 09:58:30 AM »

I just installed the CM15 after having a
CM11 run beautifully for three years
straight. Now whenever I run an ON macro
from an RF remote it seems to trigger the
adjacent OFF macro at the same time. The
resulting confusion often causes the CM15 to
hang. Also,I have had to insert 10 second
delays between every step of my macros to
make them function reliably. Honestly, this
is turning out to be a very long and
involved process and it's still not working
correctly. Am I doing something wrong or is
it just a very buggy piece of hardware?

Thanks!

Wayne:  The CM15A seems to work well for
some and be a nightmare for others.  I am
not sure why this is.

Certainly the CM15A does have some
limitations and some funnies, but you
shouldn’t have to insert 10-second delays
between all macro steps to get things to
work.  I have found that when dimming a
lamp in a macro you sometimes have to put
in a 1-second delay before the next command
but that is the only time I have to do this.

I have also read complaints that if a macro
is too long it causes problems.  I don’t
know how long is too long though.

Just out of curiosity, if you were happy
with the CM11, why did you buy the CM15A?
You know the saying, if it works, don’t fix
it.
