AHP update to v3.199 available
« on: December 15, 2005, 04:55:23 PM »

Just a few changes in this update. The next
update will be in January.

- Fixed a bug that could cause update lists
to not display and possibly crash AHP.

- MyHouse: Fixed problem with camera
switching states not being updated correctly
on Remote Client.

- MyHouse: Fixed problem with certain window
state interactions causing a crash on the
Remote Client.

- MyHouse: Fixed missing error message for
connections blocked due to time of day
restriction.

- iWitness: Fixed a problem with recorded
video being truncated.

- iWitness: Added overlay of camera names
into video window using View menu in video
window, or Preferences.

You can download the update installer
directly from here:

http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/activehome/ahp_updt.exe

You can install the previous version (3.198)
using this installer:

http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/activehome/ahp_updt_198.exe

If you have any problems with this new
version, please let us know.

Little bug :
AHP 3.199
In the plugins menu options :
- Show Featured plug-Ins
- when I drag the mouse over Smart
macros,  I can see the sub-menu for
this item
- but when I drag down for
iWitness, the  sub-menu stills the same
- but the sub-menu for Myhouse Online is
OK.
It is not so a big problem .. all things
are working very well.

Another little bug :
In the plugins menu options :
- Show Featured plug-Ins
- My House Online
- about
- the help button in the splash screen of
MyHouse is linked to the help file of AHP,
not to the the help file of MyHouse  plugin.

Thanks

Some minor problems I found:

New option in multi-camera preference to
scan between presets does work (at least not
like the vanguard did). The scanning only
worked with the button on the camera options
but this does not scan according to presets.

The view multi camera with the menu only
puts up a 2X2 grid vs. a 4X4 grid so only
1st 4 cameras display.

The remote client does not display the
switching countdown on the bottom when multi
cameras are being switched with the scanning
option.

The remote client does not display the video
in the correct grid when scanning between
cameras is being done (I reported this in
another thread).

The XPAD.exe software doesn't work if a PC
downloads the remote client software.  It
crashes with the "send an error report"
message.

Hope this helps...

Well I am running this "latest and
greatest" update, 3.199. I am still having
the same problems with it. I am running XP
Pro on my desktop computer, and I have  the
AHP USB device hooked to the computer.
The problems I am having is when I switch
from the main window to the video window (
where I can see the videos that have been
records from my camera images, then the AHP
system crashes. It does tell me the crash
text file is 1e78_appcompat.txt in my temps
folder. The same thing happens everytime,
no matter if we are in my computer log in
or my wife's.
The 2nd problem is when I leave the program
open for any time period longer than 2 hrs
(without anyone touching the computer) then
the program crashes for no apparent reason.
I can make the program crash at will, if
you would like to email me directly and I
will send you the technical files of the
crashes. This is very frustrating because I
can not access the my house feature, over
the internet, because the program keeps
crashing.

Please help. I have faith in you guys to
get the problems fixed. I tried to call
your tech support but they just refer me to
the online manuals you have.

Thanks

I installed the 3.198 and then the 3.199
updates and I started getting lights turned
on and off that were not set-up to be
turned on and off (timmer settings) one
light that was on a timmer would turn on
and off at times other than when they
should have. This started with 3.198 and
continued with 3.199. Going back to 3.187.

In the Activity Monitor when my motion
sensor signals, the label is the 'Off'
event, even tho this is an ON event. I have
Macros set for the Motion sensor address.
and the label of the 'off' macro is used
for every event listed. (yes I see multiple
copies of the events too)

In MyHouse, access from the remote, all the
modules in a room are displayed across the
entire window, not just in their pane on
the right like with the ActiveHome
software. These overlay the left column
selections, rooms, modules, etc.. makes it
hard to use.

Don't know if this is a 3.199 problem, just
started using AHP. but cannot get the
SmartMacros preferences to stick to
whatever it was set to, stop/restart and it
changes back to the wizard.. grr... leave
it where I set it..

And, if some macro used the advanced mode
for conditions, and you can't edit this in
wizard mode, the AUTO switch to advanced
mode..

The scanning of an individual camera between
presets does not work on the remote client.
If the camera is set to scan between presets
on the master it works.  If you try to set
it to scan from a remote cliet it will not
work.

Are any of these problems on your radar?

Thanks for your help.
