Ninja mount
« on: December 01, 2004, 10:53:36 PM »

I am having two problmes.
1.  If I put the unit into a sweep mode, the
antena moves and I loose the picture for
parts of the sweep.
2.  I have an X10 signal amplifier and meter,
but find that the signals to move the camera
are X10 type and therefor do not get
amplified.  Result is I cannot move the
camera from my living room.

Help,
Leo

There are several posts on here regarding
the antennae issue. Some prefer to extend
the antennae away from the camera to a fixed
point that gives good reception, I prefer to
extend the wire from the cam base to the cam
head (its just 5 cond. phone wire) and I
have even mounted double cam heads on one
ninja. You just have to be creative enough
to play around with differant mounting ideas
when mounting the head to the ninja. The
ninja has a wire in the base of the unit
that is the antennae for the pan/tilt
commands. As I recall, just remove the
screws in the bottom of the unit and you
should see it. You may get lucky and just
extend this wire some and get a good
response. If not, try an old antennae from a
cordless phone or something similiar and see
what happens.
