Thanks for that insight 2prys. Me and my
friend were wondering if several recievers,
and transceivers would increase the amount
of reception. I was also wondering if I
could modify the reciever by adding another
antenna to it, such as a HDTV antenna.
For example, I live in a large, old, 4
story house (Basement, 1st floor, 2nd,
floor, and very large attic), and I'm
having trouble switching from the back door
flood cam, to my front door flood cam, from
where I have my TV set up on the 2nd
floor. I guess the chemneys are blocking
the RF waves. I hope by having recievers on
each floor it will increase the ability to
pick up both floodcams, but I wonder if
only one flood cam will work at a time.
It seems that I read that X10 is more than
a name of a company, it is actually a name
of a technology that means it uses existing
house wiring to comunicate and operate. It
reminds me of a product I saw advertised
long ago that said that it could turn your
whole house wiring into a large antenna for
your TV. I wonder if that could be done
with the reciever.
Anyway, I'm an untrained electronic
hobbiest, and know I'm very ignorant, but
I'm enjoying playing with this stuff.
Truly I do have some serious issues with
home security, and surveillance, and
probably need to hire some professionals,
but I do love playing with it for myself.
Thanks again!!!
