Hi I have the Powerhouse Security system
model DS7000 and I have a problem with some
of the door sensors. This has happened with
2 seperate sensors now. The console will
flash showing a particular zone and
periodically the console beeps five times.
The alarm sets fine and alerts me when the
doors are opened but I still can't
understand what the error is from. I have
replaced the batteries but to no avail. Your
help is appreciated. Thanks!

Change the unit code and house code and
reprogramme all sensors. (you may have a
neighbour using x10 products)

Do you have any other wireless items in use
like router / cordless phone. Is any placed
in proximity to the console unit if so move
away from the console.

I have the same problem but it's only with
the newer DS10A sensors the older DW534
sensors work fine.

I bought my DS7000 about a month ago, and
am having the same problem, it started last
night with only one door sensor.  The
console flashed slowly (showing a low
battery error), and the console would
periodically beep 5 times, say every 15
minutes or so.  The alarm had been armed at
this time, and i had no false alarms.  Now,
when i went to change the batteries on the
door sensor, the LED only blinked once for
about 1/2 a second.  All of my other
sensors blink repeatedly for about 3
seconds.  Now, when i place brand new
batteries, my LED does not blink at all.
I'm thinking the door sensor is broken.
Any suggestions?

Sometimes the sensors have to be reset by
holding down the test button for several
seconds until the light flashes.  It is in
the instructions, but is rather obscure.

Is it possible that you have magnetic door
weather strips which are occassionally
messing up your magnetic switches??

resetting the sensor fixed my problem.  thx
for the reply.

How do i reset the alarm. My b/f has moved
out and i need a new code on the
X10Powerhouse. TIA
