I recently installed DS7000, and today saw a
zone light came on for the area monitored by
a motion sensor, but I knew nobody was there.
I understand each sensor reports in
periodically to the console.  Would I see
zone lights come on for this?  Does solidly
lit LED always mean alarm will be triggered
in the Armed mode?  I am obviously concerned
about false alarm caused by the motion sensors.

No, for reporting it wouldn't come on. Mine
is weird like this too, Sometimes the light
stays on after someone walked by it. Did that
happen? It's kind of annoying since the
system can't be armed with these lights on,
you need to walk in front of the sensor to
reset the sensor. I'm the only one in my home
who knows how to do this, therefore the
system does not get armed sometimes because
of this bad problem. Maybe sun got into the
sensor or it was facing a heat source? That's
all I can think of besides it just staying on
from when someone was in that area.

Joel,

Thank you for your thought.  I had a chance
to review the thread discussing the "sensor
remaining triggered" issue, and believe my
porblem is also caused by the motion sensor
not sending the "off" signal to the base due
to malfunctioning or some transmission
conflicts.  I will monitor the situation for
a while, and if this does not improve, I will
return the unit.
